Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

snookered. is a snooker live scores app for Android, made by Sy Godfrey. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. In short: you don't need an account, and we don't collect your name, email or contacts.

What stays on your phone

Your settings are saved only on your device:

We never receive this information. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Scores and tournament data

The app downloads scores, schedules, draws and rankings from our server. Like any website, our server sees your IP address when your phone connects, and may keep basic technical logs (such as the time and the file requested) for up to 30 days to keep the service running and secure. We don't use these logs to identify you, and we don't sell or share them.

Our tournament data comes from snooker.org. Your phone doesn't connect to snooker.org directly.

News

The News tab shows headlines from public news feeds, such as BBC Sport. Headline pictures load from those publishers' servers, and tapping a story opens it on the publisher's website. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Advertising

The free version of the app will show a banner ad provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and general information about your device to show and measure ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads). See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

If you buy the option to remove ads, Google Play handles the payment. We don't see your payment details.

Children

The app isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
